All interested candidates, who wishes to apply for noun admission, should note that the institution has officially released their portal, where all aspirants/new students can now commence their registration. The Open University of Nigeria, NOUN released her registration form for 2017/18 early this month, and all aspirants can now register.

How to Apply For NOUN Admission 2017
Before proceeding, please be informed that this information is for all candidates/aspirants who are seeking for admission into the National Open University of Nigeria (Prospective Students)

APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION
Please take note, that this is the step by Step Procedure, on How to Apply for Admission into National Open University of Nigeria for the 2017/18 academic session.
Step 1: Visit the new Noun registration portal, www.nouonline.com
Step 2: On the Home Page, go to the Menu Bar, Click on Apply for Admission
Step 3: The next step, once you have clicked on the “Apply For Admission”, is to select either of this programme which you are applying for;
- Undergraduate Programme
- Postgraduate Programme.
However, these are the ONLY programmes offered by the institution, for the 2017 application and registration, You can’t register other programmes. Other programme is not available at the moment
Step 4: Proceed and Visit “Choose Faculty”
Step 5: Then click on “Select Faculty” and choose your choice of faculty.
Step 6: Ensure that you select your desired “programme of study”
Step 7: Then choose/select “Level” (Important Info: Please take note that the NOUN Postgraduate level is preset.)
Step 8: Ensure that you select “View Subject Required” to view compulsory subjects required for admission.
Step 9: Once you are through with the 8 steps above, proceed and click “Apply” to proceed to payment form.
Step 10: When the NOUN Application form opens, you are required to type in your correct information/details. (Important Information: Please before you proceed with your registration, please take note that the amount is fixed and non refundable by the institution.)
Step 11: Select Bank Branch as payment type
Step 12: Click “Pay”
Step 13: This is very important. Please proceed to copy and take your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) number to any bank branch for payment.
NOUN Registration Payment Steps for New Application:
- Once you have your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) number with you, you are required to Pay (cash only) for NOUN Application Form in any branch of the participating bank.
- When you visit the bank, proceed and obtain a receipt, which is specially designed for NOUN for the purpose of payment for admission into noun.
Please make sure that this receipt contains two numbers as listed below:
- Receipt Numbers
Confirmation Order Numbers.
- Proceed and visit your study centre to collect BURSARY PIN CODE at no cost. This must accompany your receipt for the next step.
- If you have carried out the above steps, follow the steps shown below.
After Payment For NOUN Registration Form 2017
Step 14: The next requirement is to perform step 1 to 3 above.
Step 15: When on the portal, visit the “Continue After Payment”
Step 16: Proceed and type in your Applicant Name and RRR number.
Step 17: Click “Proceed”
Step 18: Fill Form. it is very important that you are aware, that while filing the NOUN registration form, all fields marked with red star are compulsory. After you have successfully filled the NOUN application form with your correct details, follow the step below.
Step 19: Click “Submit”
Step 20: Print Admission Letter
Step 21: Visit the nearest study centre for screening
Guidelines for All NOUN Returning Students Registration 2017
RETURNING STUDENTS REGISTRATION
It is very important, that all returning students should please, make sure they register new on the portal and activate their wallets, this will enable all returning / old students, register for the Semester.
Step by Step Procedure for Registration for Returning students
Step 1: Visit the site www.nouonline.com
Step 2: When you visit the portal, on the Home Page, go to the Menu Bar, Click “Student Login”
Step 3: Proceed and click on the button that reads; “Register”
Step 4: When the page loads up, you are expected and required to type in/input your correct information/details.
Step 5: When you are through with filling the form, please recheck it and click on “Submit”
After Submission for Returning Students Registration
Step 6: You are expected to visit the “Login” on the Menu,
Step 7: When the login page loads up, proceed and enter your Matric number and password to login,
Step 8: Goto “Manage Wallet”
Step 9: Proceed and click on the “Load Wallet”
Step 10: Here, you will be required to enter the details and amount you want to load your wallet with.
Step 11: After filling the details correctly, click on “Pay”
Step 12: Now, this important. You are to copy and take your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) number to any bank branch for payment.
After Payment Of Returning Students Registration
Step 13: After payment, you are to login back to the portal
Step 14: When you’ve logged into your dashboard (account) Visit “Manage Wallet”
Step 15: Proceed and click on “Check Payment Status”
Step 16: On the payment status page, you will be required, it is mandatory to type in your Matric Number and RRR number.
Step 17: Click “Check Wallet Payment”
Registration For All NOUN Returning Students 2017
Step 18: Click “Home”
Step 19: ON home, check the Menu bar, you’ll discover Registration, proceed and click “Registration”
Step 20: Now, you will be asked to select Semester Registration.
Step 21: Enter Details. (Important Information: Semester Count; Please take note that you are required to specify the number of compulsory fee payment made so far including present semester.)
Step 22: Click “Submit”
Step 23: Proceed with course and exam registration.
